Artist Statement: My creative practice uses “old technology’s” depiction and production of imagery as a way to probe three things: 1) how images shape our collective imagination, 2) how belief systems are embodied through aesthetics developed through “old technologies”, and 3) how intimacy in interactions can spark an individual to reframe their understanding of a topic. Through a blend of installations, interactive exhibitions, and artistic photojournalistic aesthetic, I use art, photography, and technology to spark critical inquiry to the social and political implications of our image and technologically saturated contexts.
