Third Eye (2009)

This two part installation integrated spatial elements with a hybrid of photographic practices, stereographs and digital still life photography. The installation aimed to reflect the poignant aspects of the eccentric lives of the original owners of the Pleasant Home, lively, colorful figures in Oak Park, IL. The images intentionally focused on a particular facet of their essence to attempt at concretizing abstractions so that viewers gain a more intimate understanding of the original owners while engaging in a personal experience by way of the stereographs. This piece was part of a group exhibition commissioned by the Pleasant Home Museum in Oak Park, IL. Additionally, this was personally an attempt to push our understanding of photography and how one may engage with it through a site-specific art commision.
